Welcome to Lima
Arrive in Lima, where you are welcomed and accompanied to your hotel. Take time to settle in and enjoy your first impressions of Peru's coastal capital, perhaps with a stroll along the clifftop parks of Miraflores as the sun sets over the Pacific.
Overnight in Lima
Lima, stories & flavours
Discover the many faces of Peru's capital, beginning in the historic centre and its remarkable colonial heritage. Continue to Miraflores, overlooking the Pacific, and Barranco, the city's artistic, bohemian quarter. Along the way, a carefully selected gastronomic experience introduces the flavours and ingredients that have made Peruvian cuisine so celebrated. If you wish, add a visit to the Larco Museum and its remarkable collection of pre-Columbian art.
Following the Pacific South
Travel south along the Pacific coast to Paracas, where the desert meets the ocean. With your guide, explore the Paracas National Reserve, a protected landscape of dramatic cliffs, sweeping sands and secluded beaches shaped by wind and sea. Pause at its most striking viewpoints and learn about the natural environment that makes this corner of Peru so distinctive. The afternoon unfolds at a slower pace: relax at your hotel, unwind by the sea or take a leisurely walk along the shore.
Wild shores & Golden dunes
Begin with a boat journey to the Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions and an extraordinary variety of seabirds. Later, travel inland to Ica, where the ocean gives way to an endless sea of golden dunes around the Huacachina oasis. Venture into the desert aboard a dune buggy, crossing the sweeping sands, then pause to watch the sun set as the dunes shift through shades of gold and amber. After sunset, return to Paracas.
A last morning on the coast
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Paracas, or choose an optional scenic flight over the Nazca Lines from Pisco for a remarkable aerial view of these mysterious ancient geoglyphs. Before leaving the coast, linger over lunch by the bay, where the morning's catch becomes ceviche and other fresh Pacific seafood. Later, a private transfer takes you back to Lima or on to your next destination.
